TXT (TOMORROW X TOGETHER) has 5 members: Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai. Soobin is the leader, Yeonjun is the oldest and Hueningkai is the maknae. The group debuted on March 4, 2019 under Big Hit Music, the HYBE label that launched BTS, and their fans are called MOA.
One thing that surprises a lot of new fans: TXT doesn't have fixed positions. Vocal, rap and dance parts change from song to song. Below you'll find every member's real name and birthday, what each one brings to the group, and a date European MOA should save: June 7, 2027 in Paris.
TXT members: names, birthdays and roles
| Stage name | Full name | Date of birth | Role in the group |
| Yeonjun | Choi Yeon-jun | September 13, 1999 | Oldest; vocals, rap and dance |
| Soobin | Choi Soo-bin | December 5, 2000 | Leader; vocals |
| Beomgyu | Choi Beom-gyu | March 13, 2001 | Vocals; guitar |
| Taehyun | Kang Tae-hyun | February 5, 2002 | Vocals |
| Hueningkai | Kai Kamal Huening | August 14, 2002 | Maknae; vocals |
From oldest to youngest: Yeonjun (turns 27 in 2026), Soobin (turns 26 on December 5, 2026), Beomgyu (turns 25 in 2026), then Taehyun and Hueningkai (both turn 24 in 2026). The two youngest were born in the same year, six months apart. And like in plenty of groups, the leader isn't the oldest: Soobin is second in line.
TXT positions in the group: why there aren't really any
If you look up TXT's "main vocalist" or "main dancer," you'll find answers that contradict each other. That's expected. The only fixed roles are leader (Soobin) and maknae (Hueningkai). Everything else is split song by song: a member can carry the chorus on one track and rap on the next.
Fans still have their reference points. Yeonjun often leads the dance breaks and rap parts. Taehyun and Hueningkai regularly take the high notes. Soobin has a soft, steady voice, and Beomgyu a slightly husky tone you can pick out instantly. But those are tendencies, not official job titles, which is also why the fan-made position charts you'll find online rarely agree with each other. For how positions work in other groups, see our K-pop positions guide.
Each TXT member in a nutshell
Yeonjun, the eldest
Choi Yeon-jun, born in Seoul, is the oldest member. He sings, raps and dances, and is widely seen as one of the most well-rounded idols of his generation. He also has a solo career: the single "GGUM" in September 2024, then the EPs NO LABELS: PART 01 (November 2025) and PART 02 (July 2026).
Soobin, the leader
Choi Soo-bin is from Ansan. A calm, caring leader, he's known for his height, his dimpled smile and his love of bread. He hosted the music show Music Bank, which made him a familiar face well beyond MOA.
Beomgyu, the mood maker
Choi Beom-gyu grew up in Daegu. He's the one keeping things lively behind the scenes. He plays guitar and has co-written some of the group's songs.
Taehyun, the perfectionist
Kang Tae-hyun, born in Seoul, has a clear, precise voice and a very polished stage presence. Curious about everything, he's known as the most thoughtful member in interviews.
Hueningkai, the maknae
Kai Kamal Huening was born in Hawaii to an American father and a Korean mother, and spent part of his childhood in China before moving to Korea. He's the youngest member and a vocalist with a real ear for music. His younger sister, Bahiyyih, is an idol too: she's a member of Kep1er.
TXT, HYBE and the BTS connection
TXT is Big Hit Music's second boy group, debuting six years after BTS. Both groups share the same label under parent company HYBE, which is why TXT got called "BTS's little brothers" early on. They quickly built their own world, though: The Dream Chapter album series, which opened with the EP The Dream Chapter: STAR and the title track "CROWN," tells stories of growing up, somewhere between dreams and awkwardness. After that, the discography is organized into chapters: The Chaos Chapter, The Name Chapter and then The Star Chapter. Handy if you don't know where to start: pick one chapter and play it in order. Coming from BTS? Our guide to the BTS members is right here.
The group's Korean name reads "Tomorrow by Together": different people brought together by one dream to build a better tomorrow. And they're staying together: on August 23, 2025, at the opening show of their tour in Seoul, all five members announced they had renewed their contracts with the agency.
How to pick your TXT bias
Five members sounds like an easy pick. It isn't. Start with live performances of the same song: you'll quickly notice who keeps catching your eye. Then dig into their variety content, where personalities come through far more than in music videos. The two oldest, Yeonjun and Soobin, and the three youngest each have their own dynamic. If a second member starts messing with your choice, that's what fans call a bias wrecker. We break it all down in what a K-pop bias is.
The MOA fandom
TXT fans are called MOA, short for "Moment Of Alwaysness": a moment that lasts forever. In Korean, "moa" also carries the idea of gathering (from the verb moeuda). For other fandom names, check our list of K-pop fandoms.

Wear your TXT bias
We don't carry TXT pieces right now. What we do have are jerseys printed with a name and number on the back, and we can often add a name that isn't in the drop-down menu. Message us through the contact page before you order and we'll tell you what's possible on the design you like. An idea for your request: Soobin with a 05 for his December 5 birthday, or Yeonjun with a 13. All our custom jerseys are here, and our custom K-pop jersey guide walks you through picking the name, number and size.
Good to know: it's fanmade, unofficial merch, made to order. Allow 1 to 3 weeks for delivery, so there's more than enough time to have it by June 2027.
